摘　　要：字母词之所以能够在汉语使用者中迅速普及,是因为其形式简洁、用法灵活、可替代多个汉语原有的词汇;字母词进入汉语后,会受到汉语语言文化心理的规约发生意化或语素化,具有构造新词的能力;汉语中的个别字母甚至被当作汉语的字一般用来创造新词,这就令字母具有了在汉语中创造新词的能力,具有了接近"字"的功能。This paper explores the succinct and flexible features of letter words, which contributes to their popularity in contemporary Chinese. Besides, letter words tend to take on a specific meaning after they come into Chinese and are influenced by the Chinese language and culture, and some of them have even acquired the quality similar to that of Chinese characters, i.e., to be used as a combining form to create new words.
