摘 要:丸山真男的"主业"与"副业"是有内在关联的。丸山的思想世界由三个领域构成:"着眼于明治维新近代的一面,以及德川社会中近代要素的成熟"的相关研究;寻求"一般被看作是对日本精神构造和日本人行为方式缺陷、病理的诊断"的一系列研究;探索日本人思维构造的"原型"(决定了日本在接触外来思想时的应对模式)的研究。这三个看似不同的研究领域并非是零散不相关的,而是作为整体形成了一个环形结构。在丸山的思想世界中,他的第一、第二个研究领域主张由"近代的人格"支持作为"永久革命"的民主主义,以此来变革现实,而他的第三个领域对执拗阻碍这种变革意识的日本人精神的"古层"进行了冷静透彻的分析。Maruyama Masao' s works should be considered as a whole no matter they are academic papers or journal essays. Marnyama' s works could be divided into the following three fields: firstly, studies on "the modern side of Meiji Restoration, and the growth of modernity during the Tokugawa era", secondly, analyses on "the mental structure of Japan and the failings of Japanese way of action", and thirdly, researches on "the Genkei (prototype) of Japanese way of thinking, which shaped Japan's international contacts". To Maruyama, these three fields are not separated from each other. Instead, they together formed a circle structure, with the first and the second fields as one pole, arguing that people should endeavor to work for democracy as " everlasting revolution" performed by "modern character", and the third field as the other pole, analyzing the Kosou (ancient strata) of Japanese spirit that continuously counterchecked the above endeavor.
