“211”高校图书馆英文网站现状调查及思考

摘　　要：[目的 /意义]反映目前我国"211"高校图书馆英文网站建设现状,分析存在的问题,针对高校图书馆英文网站的总体建设提出建议,为高校图书馆英文网站建设工作提供参考。[方法 /过程]根据教育部官方网站公布的"211工程"学校名单,逐一对112所"211"高校的图书馆英文网站建设情况进行全面调查。[结果 /结论 ]"211"高校图书馆的英文网站开通率仅为43.8%,且已开通的英文网站在栏目设置和维护上存在一些问题。针对存在的问题进行综合分析,强调高校英文网站建设的重要性,从服务对象、功能定位、栏目设置及展现方式、版面设计和语言组织等几方面提出建议。[Purpose/significance]The present article aims to make suggestions and provide reference for the construction of academic libraries’ English websites by making a complete investigation of the English websites of the libraries of “Project 211” universities to reveal their current situation and existing problems. [Method/process] According to the list of “Project 211” issued by the official website of the Ministry of Education, a comprehensive survey of the construction of English websites in 112 “Project 211” colleges and universities is carried out one by one. [Result/conclusion]Our investigation shows that only 43.8% of all the 112 libraries have English websites and there are some problems with their column setting and maintenance. In view of these problems, some suggestions are made concerning the service object, function orientation, column setting, presentation style, layout design and language organization.
