摘　　要：《黑暗的心》(The Heart of Darkness)是20世纪初波兰裔英国小说家约瑟夫?康拉德的代表作。康拉德在该书中熟练运用双层叙事结构,借助大量的象征手法,生动地展现了欧洲殖民者在非洲大陆掠夺象牙的贪婪画面。本文聚焦于这一掠夺进程中三组鲜明的力量或者群体对比,分析处于中心的强权方之黑暗,以及被黑暗笼罩的边缘方的无力与沉默,揭示康拉德对人性、社会的思考。The Heart of Darkness is the representative work of Joseph Conrad,a Polish British Novelist in the early 20 th century. With the double-layer narrative structure and various symbols,Conrad reveals that the European colonists capture greedily ivory in the African continent. This thesis focuses on three groups of contrast between strong and weak,and further discusses the darkness of the center and the silence of the edge,and finally expose the thought of Conrad towards humanity and society.
