摘　　要：《大红灯笼高高挂18》对小说《妻妾成群》进行了成功的改编,这主要表现在:电影简化了小说的多义主题,而趋于单一性主题;增设了"废屋"、"红灯笼"意象,舍弃了小说中"井"意象;人物性格方面颂莲也由自省敏感转向了冷漠刻薄。这些改编既尊重了原著,又有新的创造,从而使电影和小说获得了"双赢"。The film ＂ Raise the Red Lantern＂ is a successful adaptation from the novel ＂ Wises and Concubines＂,which mainly makes some achievement from the following aspects,including simplifying the multi meanings of the novel,heading for the single theme,and adding some images such as ＂ Abandoned House＂, ＂ Red Lantern＂,giving up the image ＂ Well＂. In disposition,Songlian is indifferent and harsh instead of being free and vulnerable. These adaptations are based on the original work and make some progress,which are win-win for the film and the novel.
