华工出国与近代中国历史场域的拓展——以澳洲淘金华工史为例

摘　　要：澳洲淘金华工传承了中国传统生活方式,具有高度封闭性,中西文化融合现象业已出现但远非主流,因而以淘金史为代表的早期华人史更多反映了中国历史的海外延伸。同时随着日益融入世界,中国史的场域也开始突破疆域限制,向中国人的历史过渡,由民族国家历史向全球史过渡,澳洲淘金华工史是这一转型进程的集中体现和重要组成部分。This article argues that Chinese miners in Australia were living a traditional life in a closed community. Though culture mixing had appeared, it wasfar from the mainstream.The early history of overseas Chinese,represented by gold rush miners, was thus merely an expansionof Chinese history.Nevertheless, as China integratedmore and more into the modern world, Chinesehistorybegan to break through the nationalboundaryand transformedfrom national history to global history.The history of Australian Chinese miners is theepitomeand important part of this transformation.
