西方视野下中国形象的演变对当代国家形象塑造的启示

摘　　要：西方视野下的中国形象经历了几次重大变化,由朦胧、神秘的最初印象到赞誉美化的完美印象,再到贬低、丑化的偏见印象,直到当代的亦美亦丑的矛盾印象。当代中国国家形象的现状既有历史原因也有当代因素,分析西方视野下中国形象演变过程及其背后的机制,对于我们思考当代中国国家形象塑造问题有较大意义,启示我们科技力量决定着国家的国际形象,需提高中国的科技硬实力;警惕西方带有目的性地对中国形象进行褒贬;打破历史遗留的西方对中国的刻板印象;改善当代中国游客与跨国公司的海外形象;真实客观地诠释中国的当代文明。The Chinese image in the Western vision has undergone several major changes, from the initial hazy and mysterious impression, the perfect impression of praise and beautification, bias impression to contemporary contradictory impression of both beautification and vilification.The development of current image of China is attributed to both historical and contemporary elements.The analysis of revolution process of China＇ s image and mechanism behind it in the west prospective is meaningful for us to consider the problems that exist in the contemporary national image shaping process.It reveals that scientific and technological strength determines the international image of the country and we should improve the hard power of China＇ s science and technology.We should beware of the west countries＇ purposeful praises and devaluation on our country＇ s image.We need to break the historical stereotyped impression of China made by the west and improve the overseas image of contemporary Chinese tourists and multinational companies to interpret Chinese contemporary civilization objectively,as well.
