摘　　要：本文以美国南方作家尤多拉·韦尔蒂(Eudora Welty,1909—2001)的代表作品《金苹果》(The Golden Apples)为范例,通过考察作者对不同主人公形象的叙写模式,从身体意象的文学审美角度揭示了"捣蛋鬼"的行为特征,呈现绅士文化内在系统对生命主体的作用与反作用,表达了对绅士文化背景下"捣蛋鬼"的人文主义关怀,从而为文学作品鉴赏跳出反思的藩篱,为从反身的角度考察现代主义作品的互文性提供了一个研究范本,同时以"捣蛋鬼"为研究对象揭示形象嬗变在文学书写中的象征寓意。Eudora Welty was a famous Southern American writer. The Golden Apples is her most important work,in which she provides a vivid description of different heroes for the readers. Through the analysis of two typical protagonists＇ physical performance as ＂Trickster＂,this paper tries to express the comprehensive functions of Gentry System with impressive influences upon Tricksters＇ personal life and finds a way to give humanistic consideration to their real existential circumstances. Those specific analyses gain access to symbolic meanings of Trickster＇s images in literature as the receiver of social culture.
