摘　　要：In the report of the 19th CPC National Congress, it is for the first time claimed that the princi-pal contradiction of Chinese society is in this ＂new era＂ experiencing a great change, in whichthe main aspect of the principal contradiction transforms itself from that of backward social pro-duction to that of the development of the imbalanced and insufficient kind in such various areasas of economy, society, culture and ecosystem. The principal contradiction of Chinese society hasexperienced, with the development of the times, several significant changes since 1949.
