摘　　要：文章回顾了不列颠百科从传统百科全书出版商向领先数字化学习供应商的转型之路,阐述了不列颠百科管理团队在转型过程中所遇到的困境和决策过程,以及如何抓住机遇,顺势而为,及时根据时代和技术的发展、消费者和市场需求的变动做出大胆探索和实践,这为我国大型工具书产品的出版运营转型提供了经验和方法,有很好的借鉴意义。The article reviews the transition of Encyclopedia Britannica from a traditional publisher to a leading digital learning provider. Apart from demonstrating the difficulties the management team came across and the decision-making process they underwent,it discusses how they have seized the opportunity to make bold explorations into the changed consumer and market demands resulting from technological development in the modern age. Their experience is conducive to the publication of large-scale reference tools in China.
