摘　　要：论述了原型理论在设计中的作用原理,通过分析特定家具的风格特征,确定了设计原型的形态特征基因,从文化语义角度对江南建筑形态语义进行了提炼,并运用到了家具创新设计之中,设计出既体现传统家具的风格特征,又能符合现代生活型态需求的家具方案,验证了本设计思路的可行性。This thesis expounds the function of prototype theory in the design, and by analyzing the styles of given furniture, the characteristic genes of the prototype＇ s shape are ascertained. The semantics of the architecture in regions south of Yangtze River is refined from the point of view of cultural semantics. And then the refinement is applied to innovative furniture design. In this way, the furniture designed can both be in the traditional style and at the same time meet the needs of modern life, which proves this method of designing is correct.
