摘　　要：The mining industry is labor-intensive and technology-intensive. Both the exploration and exploitation of mineral resources need tremendous technical support across different disciplines covering geology, mining, beneficiation, civil construction, technical economy, financial evaluation and funding arrangement. For a long time, in the realm of intellectual property management, there are great gaps between mining industry and other industries such as machinery manufacturing, petrochemical industry, metallurgy industry, etc. In mining industry, technical innovation and upgrading are slow, the awareness of patent technology protection is weak, and many new scientific research achievements are published in the form of open academic papers rather than transforming into patent.
