谈五四“问题小说”话语的演变

摘　　要：问题小说话语的演变是复杂的。胡适把问题作为小说写作材料的来源,但不提供问题的答案,这影响了《新潮》小说的创作面貌。周作人提出"问题小说"则是要密切文学与人生的关系,思考人生的价值与意义;因创作自由才是最根本的关切,其本意并非造成一种文学流派或创作风尚,而是要端正创作伦理、严肃创作态度。后来,茅盾在论述五四"为人生"的创作倾向时,把"问题小说"作为该倾向的最初表现而加以定型化,用来概括冰心等人的创作特征。作为现代小说的精神源头,问题小说留给后世最大的遗产其实是严肃的态度与创作的自由。The evolution of discourse of the problem novels is complicated.Hu Shi took questions as the material for novel writing,but provided no clear answers. The purpose of Zhou Zuoren was to close the relationship between literature and life,and to think of the value and meaning of human life,for only the creation freedom was the fundamental concern. Later,when Mao Dun talked about the May Fourth creation tendency of＂For the Human Life＂,he took the problem novels as the initial performance of the tendency and he generalized the main characteristic of Bing Xin＇s works via the concept of the problem novels. As the spiritual origin,the biggest legacy that the problem novels left to the later generations is the serious attitude and the creative freedom.
