新加坡《民报》考  

A Study on Singapore's “Min Pao”

摘　　要：在现有典籍中,《民报》是一份颇有争议的报纸:有人认为是新加坡报纸,有人认为它是马来西亚报纸,还有人认为新加坡与马来西亚各有一份或几份《民报》。本文通过在马来西亚实地考察收集到的资料,结合采访新、马两地老报人之所得,提出《民报》实际上是新加坡的华文报;只是由于新、马两地关系密切,历史上新加坡的报纸常常也发行到马来西亚,而被误作马来西亚的报纸;目前尚无证据表明上世纪六十年代马来西亚有过《民报》。In the existing books, there is a lot of uncertainty about ＂Min Pao＂ . Sometimes people take it as a newspaper in Singapore and sometimes as a Malaysian. Others think that Singapore and Malaysia each have one. To clarify this question,the author flew to Malaysia three times, went into the old newspaper library to find the truth, interview with local old journalists. According to the information collected, the author concluded that there is no evidence that Malaysia has had a ＂Min Pao＂ in the 1960s, the newspaper is a Singapore＇ s one. Because these two countries are neighbors, and have been integrated into one, previously many Singapore newspapers were issued in both regions, and so ＂Min Pao＂ was mistaken for a Malaysian newspaper.
