西汉常平仓设立原因初探

摘　　要：常平仓是西汉宣帝时大司农中丞耿寿昌所创设的。在中国历史上,常平仓虽然时设时废,但它贯穿了古代社会始终,而且它所发挥的重要作用也是不容忽视的。对于西汉时期常平仓最初设立原因,长期以来,史学界一直存在较大分歧。笔者在对西汉常平仓的设立地点、当时的社会环境、被废止的原因以及常平仓名称的解释这四个方面进行分析、论证后,从而得出了其设立是为了解决国家的财政危机和边疆军粮的运输、供给问题这一新的结论,以之就正于方家。Changping barn created by Geng Shouchang,who was the prime minister of agriculture in the period of Han Xuandi.In the history of China,even though the Changping barn was always be abolished shortly after its establishment,it played a critical role throughout the whole ancient society.For a long time,historians have a great disagreement in the initial reason of its establishment in the Western Han Dynasty.Based on analyzes and demonstrates of the four aspects：the location,the social environment,the reasons for the abolition and the explanation of the name of Chang Ping barn,the author came to the conclusion that it was used to solve the problems of the country＇s financial crisis and the transportation and supply of grains for frontier armines,which is accepted by most experts.
