从《小公主》到《秘密花园》:英国儿童小说中女性主义的渐进

摘　　要：为了论证英国维多利亚时代帝国殖民地海外扩张对英国女性主义产生的促进作用,通过对比弗朗西斯·伯内特的两部作品《小公主》与《秘密花园》中两种截然不同的女性形象,阐述在当时帝国殖民地海外扩张的大时代背景下,英国儿童小说中的女性形象的变迁和女性主义的体现。研究发现,随着殖民地海外扩张的进程,英国女性的女性意识与觉悟有了很大的提升,这也进一步体现在儿童小说中。这种提升虽是缓慢的,甚至有反复和回归,但女性主义在男权制社会中有所推进已经是时代的进步,也是文学作品对时代的印证。With comparing two different female images of Francis Burnett＇s A Little Princess and The Secret Garden,this paper illustrates the transition of female images and the embodiment of feminism in the British children＇s fiction in the context of overseas colonial expansion and aims to demonstrate that feminism has been promoted by British overseas colonial expansion in the Victorian era. It is found that with the process of overseas expansion,British women＇s awareness of feminism has been greatly raised,which is also reflected in children＇s fiction. Though its pace is slow,even repeated and regressive,the gradual development of feminism in the patriarchy society has been regarded as the progress of the times,which is also confirmed by the literary works.
