摘　　要：To the Editor： Metabolic syndrome （MetS） is a major public heahh issue, resulting in accelerated development of diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, and even cancer. Resting heart rate （RHR） may be an independent risk factor for MetS.
