摘　　要：爱德华·P琼斯用庞大的叙事体系,在《已知世界》中高度浓缩并具体地展示了美国黑人的历史和现状,个性鲜明的人物表现出他(她)们所在不同阶层的群体特征。小说可以被视为包括"白人神话"的幻灭、黑人新贵族的多维困境、黑人民族主义者的分歧和团结,以及黑人文化遗产中的自由力量之源等美国黑人现代生存的启示录,对促使美国黑人自省、自强有着重要意义。Edward P. Jones reveals the history and current situation of African Americans with enormous highly concentrated and concrete narrative in ＂The Known World＂,depicting distinctive group feature of different sectors of the population. The entire text can be seen as the modern survival revelations for African Americans. The entire text can be interpreted into a modern African-American survival apocalypse,which includes the disillusionment of ＂white mythology＂,multi-dimensional plight of the new black nobilities,and the differences and self-redemption between black nationalists,and the black peoples＇ source of power for freedom in their cultural heritage. All of these have great significance for evoking introspection and self-improvement of African Americans.
