中国经济的伟大实践何以产生重要的经济学贡献?——基于经济史与经济思想史的分析与思考  

Will China's Practice of Economic Reform and Development Generate Significant Contributions to Economics?——A Perspective from Economic History and the History of Economic Thought

摘　　要：中国经济的实践,尤其是改革开放40年以来的经济实践,毫无疑问具有史诗般的重大意义。中国经济的伟大实践能否催生出影响深远的经济学贡献?这是当下中国经济学学者面临的重大课题。本文试图梳理过去300年来重大经济实践与主要经济思想发展的关系,其中包括英国工业革命、德国崛起、美国崛起、日本现代化以及相关的英、德、美、日、意、奥等国经济思想。我们发现,伟大的经济实践并不一定产生相应的经济学思想贡献。中国的经济实践最终产生影响深远的经济学贡献,具有两个有利条件:第一,中国有望在未来30年实现长期稳定的经济发展并最终实现现代化;第二,中国的经济发展通过各种方式惠及其他国家和地区;但是,第三个条件必不可缺,即,中国经济学界需要有高度的理论创新的自觉性,把握学科发展的规律,创造宽松的学术环境。China＇s reform and opening-up of the past decades have transformed the landscape of the world economy. The issue is： Will they also generate significant impact in economics？ The paper attempts to answer this question from the perspective of economic history and the history of economic thought of the past 300 years, including the British Industrial Revolution, the rise of Germany and the United States, and the modernization of Japan and their corresponding evolution of the thought of economics. The paper argues that great economic performance does not necessarily generate new economic thinking with far-reaching influence. Nevertheless, in the Chinese case, great economic performance is likely to contribute to economic thinking, because 1） China is positioned to maintain long-term and stable economic growth and achieve modernization in about three decades, and 2） economies of the rest of the world are likely to continue benefiting from China＇s economic development. However, to make profound contributions, economists studying the Chinese economy need to be innovative and an open and free academic environment is essential.
