摘  要:This paper attempts to interpret Richard Powers' ecological thoughts in his sixth novel Gain. It mainly records the development of the corporate body's expansion and the individual body's declination to further analyze how the corporate organism becomes a lethal threat to the individual in the end. The two narrative lines reveals the worsening of industrial greedy and the increasing danger of human existence.Powers expresses his holistic ecological vision: Are big companies human's greatest hope or greatest threat?This paper attempts to interpret Richard Powers ' ecological thoughts in his sixth novel Gain.
