摘　　要：《七角楼》是纳撒尼尔·霍桑继《红字》之后的第二部浪漫主义小说,反映了善与恶、罪与罚等宗教主题。作品采用"乐园—犯罪—惩罚—救赎"的U型叙事结构,彰显了人性之罪、社会之罪和科技之罪,呼唤人类通过善与爱的力量获得救赎,回归乐园。The House of the Seven Gables, the second romance produced by Nathaniel Hawthorne after his masterpiece The Scarlet Letter, reflects the religious issues of good and evil, sin and punishment.Adopting the U-shaped narrative structure： Paradise—sin—punishment— redemption, the novel describes the sins stemming from human nature, society, science and technology, which undoubtedly lead to deserved punishment. The novel advocates humans＇ redeeming themselves through love and goodness and eventually regaining the Paradise.
