Struvite loaded diatomite composite(MAP-D material) was recycled in simulative wastewater and it was adhibited to the stabilization of Zn in contaminated soil. The stabilization effect of the material was explored through SEM-EDS, XRD and FTIR characterizations and the determination of heavy metal in various forms, acid neutralization capacity(ANC), soil available P and soil enzyme activities. The results showed that the main ingredient of MAP-D material was struvite loaded diatomite. After adding 10% MAP-D into the Zn contaminated soil in 8 weeks, the content of exchangeable Zn decreased by 56.9% while the residual Zn and ANC increased almost half and one times respectively. Also, the activities of catalase and urease, inhibited by Zn, were promoted. It's indicated that MAP-D material has a certain stabilizing ability in Zn contaminated soil, which implements the utilization of recycling products in wastewater.
