摘 要:基于Talmy运动事件框架理论,对介词over编码空间运动和隐喻运动事件"路径"单位能力及其认知机制进行考察,以深化对"路径"单位语义范畴的识解。研究表明:介词编码"路径"单位并非单一概念,而是图式概念;介词over编码"路径"单位本质为路径图式,可表征不同维度,即零维(点)、一维(线)、二维(面);其编码"路径"单位认知机制为转喻,即在空间运动事件中,路径图式部分-整体转喻机制为over从不同维度语义范畴编码"路径"单位提供理据,部分-部分转喻为不同维度"路径"单位语义自然识解提供概念可及;在隐喻运动事件中该转喻机制则需以隐喻投射为前提。The paper investigates the competence of preposition "over" in encoding the path element in both spatial motion events and metaphorical motion events, aiming to deepen the construal of semantic cate- gory of the path element. The research indicates that the path element coded by the preposition "over" is in nature a Path Schema representing different dimensions, namely, zero-dimensional point, one-dimensional line and two-dimensional plane. Metonymy serves as the main cognitive motivation in the coding process of the path element. In spatial motion events, the cognitive contiguous relations of the whole-part of the path schema metonymically enables "over" to code the path element with three dimensions and the part-part me- tonymy provides an access to the natural construal of the coding of path element. However, in metaphorical motion events, such metonymical construal mechanism can only work based on the metaphorical mapping of senses of the preposition "over" from the spatial domain to the abstract domain.
