摘　　要：本文采用田野调查的方法,对北京城区社会用字现象进行了调查研究。北京城区不规范社会用字的类型主要有繁体字、外文、错别字和异体字;不规范社会用字的分布与城市格局、社会阶层空间分布以及电脑的普及有关。我们还采用非参数检验的方法对不规范社会用字的成因进行了探讨,发现"距城中心距离"对繁体字、外文、错别字和异体字影响显著;"各城区""公共标识类型""字体类型"对繁体字、外文和错别字具有一定的影响;"街道类型"对外文影响较大。The paper discusses the public use of Chinese characters in Beijing urban area through field investigation. In general, nonstandard use of Chinese characters in Beijing urban area include use of traditional Chinese characters, abuse of foreign languages, wrong and variant characters. Moreover, distribution of the nonstandard use of characters are mainly related to the city layout, regional distribution of social class and popularization of computers. The paper also analyzes the influencing factors of nonstandard use of characters with the nonparametrie test. The results show that distance from the urban center has a significant influence on the use of traditional Chinese characters, abuse of foreign languages, as well as wrong and variant characters; districts, types of public signs and font have certain influence on the use of traditional Chinese characters, abuse of foreign languages, and wrong characters ; street type has influence on the abuse of foreign languages.
