摘 要:本文考察了动词事件结构中的终结性和及物性对高水平中国英语学习者英语暂时歧义句在线加工的影响。结果显示:如关系从句动词为终结动词,其后介词和名词短语的阅读时间显著少于非终结动词;如从句动词为及物动词,其后介词和名词短语的阅读时间与非及物动词没有差异。结果表明动词的终结性影响但及物性不影响二语句子的即时理解,说明在二语句子加工中,动词表征中的信息不是全部被激活,而是选择性激活。这种选择性的激活机制与二语知识表征的融合度有关。This study investigates event structure effects in L2 learners' on-line comprehension of English reduced relative clauses(RRCs) using a self-paced reading task. The results show that the reading time of the prepositions and noun arguments in the RRCs was faster when following a telic versus an atelic verb; the reading time of the prepositions and noun arguments was not signifi cantly different when following an obligatorily versus optionally transitive verb; the reading time for the main verb was not signifi cantly different across conditions. Thus, telicity but not transitivity affected the L2 on-line processing of RRCs, indicating that the information represented in the L2 learners' lexical entries was selectively activated. Results are discussed in terms of relevant theories of L2 sentence processing.
