加州理工学院人文学科教育:理念、特点及启示

摘　　要：作为一所以培养科学家和工程师为宗旨的理工科大学,加州理工学院高度重视人文学科在人才培养过程中的地位和作用。文章基于加州理工学院人文学科教育理念,通过相关材料分析,对该校人文学科教育的特点进行探讨,提出加州理工学院人文学科教育的特点主要表现为:多种方式,培养学生的写作与交流能力;突破单一,实现跨学科交叉研究;走出课堂,开展多种形式实践教学,为我国理工科大学的人文学科教育提供新的思路和启示。As a university of science and engineering with the aim of cultivating scientists and engineers,California Institute of Technology attaches great importance to the role and function of the humanities in the process of talent training. Based on the educational ideas of California Institute of Technology,this paper discusses the characteristics of Humanities Subject Education in California Institute of Technology by analyzing related materials,that is,cultivating students ＇writing and communication abilities in several ways,implementing multi-interdisciplinary research instead of single one and carrying out various forms of practice teaching by stepping out of the classroom,which provides new ideas and enlightenment for that in China＇s science and engineering universities.
