摘　　要：婚姻是人类延续和发展的关键,更是一种重要的社会行为。中国古人很重视婚姻,尤其讲究婚姻礼仪,而在礼仪的程序中,又少不了媒妁。唐代小说中有若干描写婚姻和媒妁方面的篇幅,不但增加了故事的趣味性和多样性,而且显示了婚姻和媒妁对古代社会的存在价值。Marriage is not only the key to the continuation and development of mankind, but also an important social behavior. The ancient Chinese attached great importance to marriage, especially the etiquette of marriage, and the matchmaker has played an important role in the traditional etiquette. There were some storiesabout marriage and matchmaker in the Tang Dynasty novels, which not only added interest and diversity to thestories, but also showed the value of marriage and matchmaker to ancient society.
