所城里前身,奇山守御千户所

摘　　要：所城里位于烟台市最繁华的大街——南大街东段的南侧，是老烟台的标志之一。其建于明代，洪武年间为海防设立“奇山守御干户所”，距今已有600余年历史。Located to the south of the eastern part of Nanda Street （South Street）, the most prosperous street in Yantai, Suochengli is a symbol of old Yantai. It was built in the Ming Dynasty when Qishan Thousand-household Bureau of Defense （Suo） was established for coast defense in the reign of Hongwu over 6 centuries ago. Over 200 years later, Emperor Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty issued a decree to abolish it and send all soldiers and officials to retire and pick up their jobs in fishing, farming, industry and commerce. Gradually, Qishan Bnreau became a flourishing business center, called as Suochengli by the local people.
