摘　　要：隐私问题是中美交际中不可回避的话题。对隐私的正确解读和运用能够促进中美人员交流。从自我构元的角度在时间、空间和话题3方面结合案例和访谈比较了中美隐私观的差异。认为中美都认可隐私的存在,但是中国人隐私观念相对薄弱。The topic of privacy is what we have to face up to in the course of Sino-US communication. An accurate interpretation and application is conducive to a smooth exchange between Chinese and Americans. From a self-construal perspective, a comparison is made between perceptions of privacy of Chinese and Americans in respects of time, space and topics with some typical cases and interviews. It is concluded that both Chinese and Americans realize the objective existence of privacy with varying degrees of emphasis.
