摘　　要：腰椎间盘突出症为临床常见疾病,在祖国医学属＂腰痛＂＂痹证＂范畴。近年来发病率呈现逐渐上升的趋势,已经严重影响了大众的健康与生活质量。刘元禄教授常年致力于本病的临床治疗,医诊经验丰富,患者疗效显著,取得颇丰造诣。刘老强调本病与肾虚、脾虚、风寒湿热之邪、痰饮和血瘀有着密切关系,并主张＂重护脾胃,专化痰瘀,力补肝肾＂思想、＂杂合以治＂理论和＂治未病＂思想,具有重要的研究价值和推广意义。Lumbar disc herniation disease is one of the common clinical diseases,attributable to lumbago and arthralgia syndrome in traditional Chinese medicine. The disease has already influenced daily life with increasing trend. Professor LIU Yuanlu has been devoted himself to clinical treatment of the disease and has insightful views of this aspect with significant therapeutic effect. He emphasizes the disease has close relation with deficiency of the kidney and spleen,wind-evil,cold-evil,damp-evil,heat-evil,phlegm and retained fluid and blood stasis. He proposed the thought of strengthening spleen and stomach,activating blood and purging phlegm,reinforcing liver and kidney,the theory of mixed treatment and the thought of preventive treatment of disease. They all have research value and extending significance.
