Objective: To explore the effect of different obesity indexes on risk prediction of diabetes mellitus. Methods: The clinical data of 300 patients with diabetes mellitus treated in our hospital from May 2016 to November 2017 were analyzed retrospectively. The indexes of blood lipids were analyzed. The body mass index(BMI), waist to hip ratio(WHR), waist circumference(WCC) and the ratio of waist circumference to height(WHt R) were studied. Results: The TC, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C in male showed no significant difference compared with those in the female(P〉0.05). BMI, WHR, WC, WHt R in male were significantly higher than that in the female, the difference was statistically significant(P〈0.05); Logistics regression analysis showed that the BMI of the male had no predictive value, WC, WHR, WHt R forecast index had predictive value; BMI included WC in the female had no predictive value, and when it was included in the WHR and WHt R, BMI had a predictive value. Conclusion: The risk rate of diabetes was higher than that of WHR in male and WCC WHt R in female. The prevention and treatment of diabetes could be enhanced according to the risk assessment.
