摘　　要：伴随着工业社会的到来和发展,邻里组织作为工业化社会催生的公民参与的组织化产物,在整个工业社会的发展过程中,一直为抚慰充满伤痛的现代城市和工业生活而积极行动,成为解决社会冲突、复兴民主传统、聚集政府与社会资源、改善社区服务和邻里居民经济和社会状况的核心力量.Robert Fisher, a famous American sociologist, a professor of social work in University of Connecticut and an enthusiastic participant in the neighborhood movement, has engaged in social work for a long time. Let th e People De c ide： Neigh bo rho od O rg a n iz in g in Am erica has been a revision after it was first published ini 984. The author summarizes the development process and the basic way of the American Neighborhood Movement from the end of the 19th century to the 1990s. And from the perspective of the left wing, the author puts forward the idealism of the 1960s into the reality of the 1980s and 1990s in order to complete the revival of this movement. This is from the perspective of the United States, with the underlying action in the United States as the background on the underlying masterpiece of action, which is of a global significance and contemporary value. It also provokes useful thinking and inspiration so that the circle of Chinese scholars will pay more attention and make in-depth research.
