摘　　要：西尔维亚·普拉斯是美国著名女诗人,也是"自白派"的代表人物。其诗歌多用"自白"方式大胆暴露与恐惧、死亡等有关的私密情感,弥漫着大量绝望情绪,充斥着突兀的死亡意象;却又超越理性的限制,直接洞穿生命的本质。她的诗歌艺术将罗伯特·洛威尔开创的"自白派"诗风推到了顶点,并成为女性主义文学的里程碑。Sylvia Plath was a famous female American poet, who was also one of the representatives of＂Confessional School＂. In her poems, she was brave to reveal her personal feelings like fear, death, etc. in the way of confession. Death was not a fear to her but rather a self-affirmation and sublimation of life. Her poems boast a lot of images of death and despair and she longed for the hug of death. Finally, she went beyond death so as to gain spiritual rebirth through her suicide.
