Objective To study the value of microalbuminuria(UMA) in predicting the extent of coronary artery lesions in patients with hypertension. Methods 372 hypertensive patients without diabetes mellitus who had taken coronary angiography or percutaneous coronary intervention were enrolled. All patients underwent UMA examination. All subjects were divided into four groups according the result of the CAG. The patients with normal CAG result were in the first group; The patients with single vessel lesion were in the second group; The patients with two vessel lesions were in the third group and the patients with three vessel lesions were in the fourth group. The applicability of UMA as the markers for predicting coronary heart disease(CHD)was analyzed. Results Compared with the coronary artery normol group, the value of UMA was higher than that of the coronary artery abnormol group(P〈0.01). The level of UMA was correlated with the severity of coronary lesions. There were significant differences between single vessel disease and two or more vessel lesions(P〈0.01). Conclusion With the increasing of UMA,there are more vessels lesion. UMA level is early pridictive factor in predicting the extent of coronary artery lesions.
