Objective: To observe application effects of modified puncture technique in children's venous indwelling needle. Methods: 96 children with venous indwelling needle were selected and divided into control group and observation group according to the random number table method, 48 cases in each. The observation group was given the modified puncture needle puncture technique, while the control group was given the traditional venous indwelling needle puncture technique. The one-puncture success rates, total satisfaction, adverse reaction rates and indwelling time of the two groups were compared. Results: The one-puncture success rate and total satisfaction in the observation group were 97.92% (47/48) and 100% (48/48), respectively, which were significantly higher than 81.25% (39/48) and 79.17% (38/48) in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant ( P 〈0.05). The incidence of puncture adverse reaction was 4.17% (2/48) in the observation group, which was significantly lower than that of the control group of 20.83% (10/48), and the difference was statistically significant ( P 〈0.05). The indwelling time in the observation group was (7.98 + 0.34) d, obviously longer than that of the control group of (5.27 + 0.31) d, and the difference was statistically significant ( P 〈0.05). Conclusions: The modified puncture technique in the children's venous indwelling needle can effectively improve the success rate of primary puncture and the satisfaction of the parents, and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions.
