城市化、高等教育扩张对地区收入差距的影响——基于中国省级面板数据的实证研究

摘　　要：利用2002—2014年全国31个省市的面板数据考察城市化、高等教育扩张对地区收入差距的影响。结果显示:从全国层面来看,城市化对缩小地区间收入差距具有显著的消极作用,当地区城市化水平提高时,地区收入差距扩大;高等教育扩张对缩小地区收入差距具有显著的正向作用。从不同地区结果来看,东部地区城市化水平普遍较高,对地区收入差距的影响并不显著,而高等教育扩张对地区收入差距具有显著的负向作用。中部地区的结果与东部地区的结果基本一致。相比于东中部地区,西部地区城市化水平较低,其水平的提高不利于地区间收入差距的缩小,而高等教育扩张的影响并不显著。最后从合理推进城市化和高等教育扩张两个角度提出四个政策性建议。Using the panel data of 31 provinces in China from 2002 to 2014,this paper examines the impact of urbanization and higher education expansion on regional income gap. The results show that at the national level, urbanization has a significant negative effect on narrowing the regional income gap. When the level of urbanization is increased, the regional income gap widens. And the expansion of higher education has significant positive effect on shortening regional income gap. For the eastern region, the impact of urbanization on regional income gap is not significant,while higher education expansion has a significant negative effect on regional income gap. The re- suits of the central region are basically the same as those in the eastern region. For the western region, the results are contrary to the eastern region. The improvement of the urbanization level has significantly widened the regional income gap. The impact of the expansion of higher education on the income gap in the western region is not sig- nificant. Finally, four policy suggestions are put forward from two aspects：rationalization of urbanization and higher education expansion.
