18.5%。Greenbelt was an important ecological barrier in urban region. In this study, the pure forest of Cotinus coggygria in Bajia park located in Beijing was used as the research object. The water balance method and TDP method were used to study the regularity of vegetation transpiration and evapotranspiration under artificial conservation. The results showed that: The sap flux density of Cotinus coggygria at different DBH in typical day had the same change trend, and the peak value usually appeared between 11:00 and 14:00 every day. The correlation between the sap flux density of Cotinus coggygria with different DBH and solar radiation was significant, and the conic relationship was found. The total water consumption of Cotinus coggygria in growing season(May to October) was 731 mm, and the daily evaporation intensity was 3.97 mm. There were two peak periods of water consumption in the whole growth period, which were appeared in May and July respectively, while the evaporation intensity was the lowest in October. The transpiration water consumption of Cotinus coggygria account for approximately 18.5 percent of the evaporation water consumption.
