摘　　要：本文首次报道了台湾西部海域冬、春季水螅水母类和管水母类的种类组成，其中水螅水母类１６种，管水母类２６种。对我国首次记录的两种水螅水母的形态特征作了记述，并比较和讨论了整个台湾周围海域这两类水母组成的特点。The present paper first describes the species composition of the Hydromedusae and Siphonophora in the western waters of Taiwan Island during winter 1997 and spring 1998. A total 16 species of Hydromedusae and 26 species of Siphonophora were indentified,of which Dipleurosoma pacificum Agassiz & Mayer and Staurodiscus tetrastaurus Haeckel belonging to Hydromedusae are recorded for the first time in Chinese Waters. Their principal morphologi- cal characteristics are described and illustrated. The characteristics of species composition of these two classifications of jeHyfish are discussed.
