摘　　要：为媒体高度关注的巴拿马籍豪华游轮"东方公主"号,因拖欠船员工资被广州海事法院于4月8日扣押,扣押令是在游轮上的51名中国船员提出海事请求保全申请后发出的.至4月28日,"东方公主"号船东一直未出面.On April 8, 2002, Guangzhou Maritime Court detained the 'Oriental Princess', the most luxurious tourist carrier in the world. The main reason was that the shipowner defaulted more than HK $3 million salary to the crew. The defaulted payment impaired the dignity of the seafarers. So, 51 seafarers appealed to the court for legal protection. The shipowner did not come up to solve the problem until April 28, so the 51 seafarers formally went to the court. The carrier probably will be put on auction.
