论“忠实”翻译

摘　　要：本文认为"忠实"是翻译的应有之义。"译,无信不立"(江枫语)。此处的"信"即指"忠实"。新批评理论、解构主义、"创造性叛逆"、女性主义翻译观等看似与"忠实"对立,实则从反面论证了"忠实"之必要。"忠实"与译者的主体性二者并不矛盾,反而相得益彰。The present paper holds that ＂faithfulness/fidelity＂ is a must in translation. There is no translation without faithfulness（Jiang Feng）. Seemingly, the New Criticism theory,deconstructionism, creative treason, and feminism all advocate the opposite. They, however, laid the theoretical basis for ＂faithful＂ translation seen from a different perspective. It is worth mentioning that ＂faithfulness＂ is not contradictory to the ＂creativeness＂ of the translator. They both benefit from each other.
