摘　　要：王韬是晚清时期深受西方文化影响的进步思想家、政论家。晚年他曾创作大量文言小说,其中不少侠情小说。他的侠情小说独树一帜,大多构思奇幻,情节曲折,"武"、"侠"、"情"三位一体的特色尤为突出,侠客形象鲜明生动,为清代文言武侠小说之翘楚,对20世纪侠情小说的迅猛发展具有筚路蓝缕之功。Wang Tao, a progressive thinker in the late Qing dynasty, was deeply influenced by western culture. In hislater years, he wrote a lot of literary novels, which includes quite a few chivalry novels. The conception of his chivalrynovel is unique, fantastic, and filled with twists and turns, The novel consists of“martial” ,“chivalry” ,“emotion”, espe-cially the characteristics of knight-errant image being so vivid. His novel can be considered as the best classical Chinesemartial arts novels in the Qing dynasty, and he made tremendous contributions to the rapid development of chivalry novelin 20th century
