Sys-GMM Analysis of the Impact of FDI on Manufacturing Industry Structure:Based on Provincial Industry Dynamic Panel Data

摘　　要：本文基于2000-2015年的省级行业动态面板数据，采用Sys-GMM方法，选取工具变量克服内生性问题，利用STATA软件就三大地区FDI对制造业产业结构的影响进行实证分析。结果发现：对于东部地区资源密集型和劳动密集型行业而言，FDI对两类行业产值与行业总产值的比值产生了负面影响，对于该地区资本密集型和资本技术密集型行业而言，FDI对两类行业产值与行业总产值的比值产生了正面影响，即FDI推动了东部地区制造业产业结构优化，中西部地区的实证结果正好相反；同时发现三大地区的国内投资和技术进步是推动制造业产业结构优化的主要因素，对外贸易推动了东部地区制造业产业结构优化，但没有推动中西部地区制造业产业结构优化，居民收入水平和金融发展水平也推动了东部地区制造业产业结构优化，但对于中西部地区制造业产业结构优化作用不明显。Based on the provincial industry dynamic panel data from 2000 to 2015, this paper uses Sys- GMM method to select tool variables to overcome endogeneity problems, and uses STATA software to empirically analyze the impact of FDI on manufacturing industry structure in three regions. The results show that for resource - intensive and labor- intensive industries in the eastern region, FDI has a negative impact on the ratio of the output value of the two industries to the total output value of the industry. For the capital - intensive and capital- intensive industries in the region, FDI The ratio of the output value of the two types of industries to the total output value of the industry has a positive impact. FDI promotes the optimiza- tion of the industrial structure of the manufacturing industry in the eastern region. The empirical re- sults in the central and western regions are just the opposite. At the same time, domestic investment and technological progress in the three regions are promoted. The main factors in the optimization of manufacturing industry structure, foreign trade promoted the optimization of manufacturing industry structure in the eastern region, but did not promote the optimization of manufacturing industry structure in the central and western regions. The income level of residents and the level of financial development also promoted the optimization of manufacturing industry structure in the eastern region. However, the optimization of the industrial structure of the manufacturing industry in the central and western regions is not obvious.
