摘　　要：Feminism is a part of social culture and one of the most important trends of thought.The Yellow Wallpaper was a representative short story of Charlotte Gilman,a prominent American writer who was a feminist pioneer.Gilman,using"I"this unique angle,told a story that the heroine,lived a life like a prisoner,from nervous condition to eventual madness.The short story reveals the inequality of men and women,male oppression of women and meanwhile it expresses the desire for equality between men and women and the freedom of women.Feminism is a part of social culture and one of the most important trends of thought.
