The Ancient Chivalrous Culture in Bashu Area

摘　　要：巴蜀地区的侠义文化源远流长。早在先秦时期,巴蜀先民就在相对封闭的环境中和恶劣的生存条件下,形成了剽悍劲勇、质直好义的性格特征,表现出侠义文化的一些原始特征。秦汉时期,秦赵燕等地豪侠迁徙入蜀,对蜀地侠文化产生了积极影响,形成了以地方豪强为特征的豪侠文化。两汉时期,主要集中在成都及其附近地区,之后转移至乡邑边鄙地区,极为炽盛,谓为巴蜀旧俗。受这样一种浓郁的豪侠文化氛围影响,巴蜀地区的文人普遍具有一种侠义情结,而尤以司马相如、陈子昂、李白、苏轼为代表,形成巴蜀地区文人任侠的独特现象。The chivalrous culture of Bashu area has a long history. Early in the pre Qin period,living in a relatively closed environment and having harsh living conditions, the ancestors of Bashu formed brave, upright and righteous characteristics and showed some primitive teatures of chivalrous culture. During the Qin and Han dynasties, chival- rous men from Qin,Zhao and Yan migrated to Bashu,which had a positive influence on the chivalrous culture of Bashu and formed the heroic culture characterized by local chivalrous men. During the Han dynasty, it is mainly concentrated in Chengdu and its vicinity,then transterred to the border area of the townships,it became very flourishing and was called the old custom of Bashu. Influenced by such a strong cultural atmosphere, Literati in Bashu area generally have a chivalrous complex, especially represented by Sima Xiangru, Chen Ziang, Li Bai and Su Shi. They formed the unique phenomenon of chivalrous literati in Bashu area.
