摘　　要：英国对欧洲联合政策是战后初期国际关系的重大问题。1954年成立的西欧联盟对西欧冷战格局的形成产生了深远影响。国内外学界对1944—1971年间英国对西欧联盟政策的研究主要集中在英国与西欧联盟建立、英国抑制西欧联盟初期发展、英国对西欧联盟转变态度以及英国利用西欧联盟加入欧共体等专题上,虽然取得了一些成果,但仍存在国内研究缺乏一手资料、国内外研究重心过度集中于西欧联盟重启之后以及部分研究不够深入、结论不够准确全面等问题。The British policy toward European unity was one of the big issues in postwar international politics. The Western European Union founded in 1954 impacted profoundly the Cold War situation in Europe. Chinese and foreign scholars have studied the British policy toward the issue of European unity between1944 and 1971,focusing on British connections with the establishment of the Western European Union,Britain’ s effort to contain the initial growth of the WEU,the changing British attitude toward the WEU,and Britain’ s joining the EU via the WEU. While useful,studies by Chinese scholars are still suffering from lack of primary sources,all studies focus overly on the period after the WEU resumed,and some studies do not perform in-depth analyses or fail to reach accurate and comprehensive conclusions.
