Objective To explore the effect of individualized water drinking and bladder filling training among cervical cancer patients who undergo radical intensity-modulated radiotherapy. Methods A total of 98 cervical cancer patients who were to receive radical intensity-modulated radiotherapy were divided into a control group of 48 cases, who received traditional bladder filling guidance, and an intervention group of 50 cases, who received individualized water drinking and bladder filling training, before the therapy. Results The incidence rate of radiation enteritis in the intervention group was significantly lower than in the control group;the completion rate of first course radiotherapy, and the volume of urine in the intervention group was significantly higher than those in the control group(P〈0.05,P〈0.01).Conclusion The training of water drinking and precise bladder filling can improve the stability of bladder filling, enhance completion rate of first course radiotherapy, and reduce the incidence rate of radiation enteritis among cervical cancer patients who receive radical intensity-modulated radiotherapy.
