摘　　要：自然保护地的管理一直是国际社会关注的重点问题。尤其在目前我国国家公园体制建设背景下,增加国家公园类型,重构我国自然保护地体系已然成为亟须解决的问题。《美国公共土地:从黄石公园、护林熊到其他公共土地》一书较为全面地探讨了美国联邦政府管理下的公共保护地体系的发展历程。主要包括了美国公共土地系统的形成过程、联邦政府的四大公共保护地管理机构以及伴随保护地体系发展而产生的这些管理机构形成的历史背景,如重要的历史性事件、法规及推动性人物,各机构管理的土地类型以及管理的侧重点和各自面临的问题。书中关于美国独特的荒野地体系的介绍以及作者的一些思索对于我国国家公园体制建设、重构我国自然保护地体系及其管理与发展具有一定的启示和借鉴作用。The management of the natural protected areas has always been a major issue of concern to the international society. Especially in the context of the establishment of National Park System in China, the management and development of nature protected areas have become the focus which is to add the type of National Park and to reconstruct China＇s protected area system. The book America＇s Public Lands, from Yellow Stone to Smoky Bear, and Beyond explores the public protection system under the administration of the US federal government, including the formation of the United States public land system, the four major public protected area management agencies of the federal government, the historical background of the formation of these institutions. The introduction to the United States＇ unique wilderness system and some of the author＇s thoughts can provide inspiration and reference for the management and development of China＇s protected area system.
