摘　　要：著名的法国建筑师保罗·安德鲁逝世了,享年80岁。他设计的国家大剧院被中国的建筑设计权威们讥讽为＂鸟蛋＂＂巨蛋＂。和澳大利亚悉尼歌剧院一样,开始时被看作是奇形怪状的建筑,直到设计师去世后才得到世人认可。The famous French architect Paul Andreu died at the age of 80. The National Centre for the Performance Arts, which he designs, once was derided by Chinese architecture authorities as "bird egg" and "giant egg". Like the Sydney Opera House, it is regarded as a bizarre building until the designer's death. The construction process of the centre reflects the conflict between novelty seeking and conservatism.
