摘　　要：《回声制造者》是当代美国"X一代"后现代小说家理查德·鲍尔斯的第九部小说,出版当年即获得美国国家图书奖,其中蕴含了丰富的生态思想。借用生态批评的相关理论,围绕生命共同体的合理建构进行分析可以发现,小说展示了人与自然、人与人,以及人与地方三者之间的互生共荣关系,为理解和把握鲍尔斯小说独特的生态思想提供了新的视角。Richard Powers, one of postmodern American novelists, is the typical representative of contemporary American “X-Generation”. His ninth novel, The Echo Maker , won the American National Book Award in its publication year. Powers’s fiction usually contains rich ecological thoughts. Based on the approach of eco-criticism and the proper construction of the biotic community, the novel shows the multiple relationships between man and nature, man and man, and man and place, which provides a new perspective for understanding and finding out the ecological thoughts presented by Richard Powers.
