摘　　要：张恨水在创作之初就敏锐地感知到文学的发展动势,自觉地表现出有别于传统章回小说家的"现代"新质,其早期作品往往带有"新旧"交融的印记,以文学史的眼光看来,即超越与局限的同一,《春明外史》便是当中的重要代表。本文从超越与创新、局限与不足、超越性探源三方面对该作进行文本分析,深入解读其中的超越性、局限性及其成因,从而更清晰的捕捉张恨水在时代窄门前眺望的目光,追寻其从传统走向现代的脚步。At the beginning of his creation, Zhang Henshui was keen to perceive the development trend of literature, and consciously displayed the ＂modem＂ quality that was different from the traditional novelists. His early works often have the blending mark of the new and the old. In the view of the history of literature, Chun Ming Wai Shi （春明外史） is an important representative of the transcendence and limitation. In this study, the transcendence and innovation, limitations and deficiencies, and the significance of literary history of the book are discussed.
